I run Tevelis, a software, data and market intelligence consultancy. It is a Cyprus company, registration number HE 492969, registered at Adonis here in Aphrodite Hills, which makes it one of the 114 counted on the landscape pages. I am in my own dataset.
20 years of my work has sat at the intersection of software development, data engineering and applied research. Clients have included multinational enterprises, government organisations, venture investment firms, and two of the dominant names in flash memory and storage. One engagement ran to $250m in loss prevention. Another took a fintech platform's organic traffic up 300x. I studied Geography at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Computer Science at the University of York.
The landscape pages here are that same work done for the place I live rather than for a client. Nobody had counted who operates around here, so I did it one company at a time.
Tevelis takes no outside capital, no referral fees and no equity retainers. The same rule holds at the table. I am not assembling a client list out of these dinners, and if anyone is ever sold anything at one, I have broken my own rule.
Where the name comes from
Aphrodite is said to have risen from the sea at Petra tou Romiou, a kilometre and a half down this coast, and most things here carry her name as a result: the rock, the baths, the hills. She predates every business using it by roughly three thousand years. The name here is taken from the goddess and the coast.
There is no connection to Aphrodite Hills Resort Ltd, to its property arm, or to the residents association. Nothing here is endorsed by them and nothing here speaks for them, which is what makes it possible to introduce people who deal with all three.
Why it exists
The business landscape holds the answer. A hundred and fourteen companies operate out of Aphrodite Hills and the villages around it, run by around 127 people, and 145 of the 267 registered entities here share no director and no address with any other. Most of those people have never had a reason to meet.
What it is not
Not a referral club, and not a business that sells anything to the people sitting at its own table. It competes with neither the resort company nor the residents association and may well end up working with both on a venue or an event. Should any of that change, this page will be updated to say so.
